Tiko is currently hiring a Data Product Manager
Tiko (previously known as Triggerise) believes in a world where all youth have the power to choose where, when, and how they meet their sexual reproductive health needs. Their digital platform delivers scalable and verifiable sexual reproductive health services for young people in 5 main markets in Sub-Saharan Africa - Kenya, Ethiopia, Uganda, South Africa, and Burkina Faso. They work together with local communities and use nudges like reminders, discounts, and reward points to encourage their users to access and use sexual and reproductive health services. They also support their users in becoming micro-entrepreneurs and adding value to their economies.

They are open to remote work for this position and will happily accept applicants from anywhere in Kenya, and Portugal.
About the role: 
They are looking for a Data Product Manager reporting to the Director of Data Product. The successful candidate will be tasked with the development, implementation, and management of data-related products. This role is instrumental in defining their data strategy, promoting a data-driven culture, and ensuring data is effectively utilized for business decisions.
  • Develop a comprehensive strategy for data products that aligns with their business objectives and create and maintain data product roadmaps.
  • Engage with key stakeholders to ensure data product development aligns with organizational goals.
  • Monitor key performance indicators to assess the success and impact of data products.
  • Encourage collaboration across various teams, including data analysts, data engineering, machine learning, and business units, to enhance data product development.
  • Keep up with industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitor products to maintain their competitive edge and understand the influence of data products on their performance.
About you:
You are an outside-the-box thinker, and are, therefore, able to develop a vision of what a part of Tiko's product should look like and represents the end-user needs to the Data teams to achieve their vision.  
  • 4+ years of experience being a Data Product Manager, for local, remote, and contracted partners in a distributed team
  • Strong expertise in process engineering, process flow design, and documentation, with a focus on data structure/architecture, UX/UI (User Experience/User Interface), and design best practices.
  • Exposure to developing CRM applications, including setting up governance, best practices, standards, and change management processes.
  • Proficiency in Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) methodologies.
  • Deep understanding of digital platforms and their ability to address user needs.
  • Exceptional communication skills and the ability to convincingly present ideas to diverse audiences.
