NOX Health is currently hiring a Data Expert / Data Scientist to join their team
Nox Health is a global healthcare device and services company that provides technology for sleep testing and solutions for sleep health and general well-being to its clients. Nox Health relies heavily on the Nox Cloud software platform to manage complex patient and physician workflows, facilitate collaboration on patient care between medical professionals, monitor treatment progress, engage patients in their care, and more; all while ensuring patient information is secured to the highest standards. 

At the core of the cloud, the ecosystem is a cloud-based web application written primarily in Java, Kotlin, and C#. This core web application supports several ancillary apps, which include a patient-focused mobile app for both Android and iPhone and a desktop tool to securely move medical data from devices into the cloud.

As a part of the work done already, there is a lot of data that they generate, measure, receive, and process.  This includes Healthcare Claims Data, Test Data, Therapy Data, and multiple other details that help them to provide the best therapy experience possible. Development is currently operated out of Colorado USA and Reykjavik Iceland.

The Cloud Development team is looking to hire a Data Expert/Data Scientist to join the Development team in the new Portugal office. 

Responsibilities: The Data Expert would work with the rest of the team to build infrastructure and functionality to help drive the business and support projects such as the Data Lake extension, development of programs to handle data import and export, predictive analytics, and machine learning.
  • Create data processing pipelines to send and receive external data and process it into a manageable form.
  • Clean data and write ETL processes.
  • Work with the various teams to build metrics and details to allow better management of the business 
  • Collaborate with product management and engineering departments to understand company needs and devise possible solutions.
  • Communicate results and ideas to key decision-makers.
  • Optimize joint development efforts through appropriate database use and project design.
  • Work with healthcare data, medical records, and insurance claims data.
  • Minimum of 2 years Python/Panda experience.
  • Practical experience with ETL, data processing, database programming and data analytics.
  • Experience in data cleaning.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Fluent in English.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with an emphasis on data discovery and exploration.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Able to understand various data structures and common methods in data transformation.
  • SQL and NoSQL databases experience.
Nice to have: 
  • Experience with Apache Airflow and/or other data workflow tools
  • Knowledge of Healthcare Claims, CPT codes, and how claims are done
  • Experience using web services: Redshift, S3, Spark, DigitalOcean, etc.
  • Experience with SFTP/SSH/Unix
