About:
Cyclomedia Technology B.V. is a market and technology leader in large-scale systematic visualization of environments, the creation of precisely positioned 360° panoramic images from public roads (Cycloramas), and the dissemination of aerial images. The in-house developed and patented Cyclorama technology makes it possible to annually produce high-quality panoramic images on a global scale in a highly automated cloud-based processing pipeline and quality control process.
With their advanced recording equipment, they capture data from the real world by car, boat, and even by plane and use it to create valuable insights and data for governments and companies in more than 20 countries. The imagery and data are then displayed in their own Street Smart application which can be connected to several GIS software applications.

About the role:
Cyclomedia is looking for a Computer Vision Expert to join the European Data Analytics R&D Cluster. In this role, you will use AI & Deep learning and computer vision knowledge to create models capable of automated object detection, detecting changes, or models that can assess the condition of object/images and point clouds.Furthermore, you will research new methods of image rendering (e.g. nerfs/ gaussian splats). Finally, you will be involved in the process of putting these models/methods into production pipelines. They solicit applications from individuals who find it a challenge to create stable software systems in the area of computer vision and machine learning. They offer the opportunity to work with researchers in a flexible and creative industrial research environment on cutting-edge technologies.
Key Accountabilities:
- Designing and developing algorithms and applications in the automated object detection area
- Researching State-of-the-art technology and determining which new technique can add value to Cyclomedia
- Working with 3d data and applying new technology in improving the quality of 3d data
- Supporting and maintaining the current systems
- Optimizing the performance of the automatic system by collecting better datasets in smart ways together with the annotation teams
- Analysis of the results of automatic and semi-automatic results
Requirements:
- Master/PhD degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Artificial Intelligence or related discipline
- Knowledge of C++ 17, Boost, Std
- Knowledge of OpenCV, Numpy, Pytorch
- Knowledge of Machine Learning, Computer Vision, Deep Learning
- Software development in C++
- Software development in Python
- Experience with Linux systems
- Knowledge of Docker
- Database design and SQL knowledge
- Knowledge of version management tooling GIT
- Knowledge of GIS database and tooling
- Microsoft Azure experience
- Knowledge/Experience with Point Clouds (LAZ, Point Cloud Library)
- Excellent interpersonal Skills
- Can-do attitude and able to prioritize
- Initiate, creativity and flexibility
- Strong collaboration skills
- Proven ability to develop new systems and create maintainable software from a prototype towards a working system prototype
